Bass Fishing Summer Waters

Last summer I started getting bass fishing fever. I am sure most of you can relate to the fever and how it makes you go out day after day. Sadly at first I was producing little results; mainly it came down to the fact that I was trying to bass fish during the hardest months to produce fish. But once I did some reading and rethought my strategy I started producing the numbers I was use to catching. If you want to produce bass in June and July I would suggest watching the pond or lake you are fishing for feeding time; eventually you will see shad rising up or top water hits, try showing up about 2 hours before sunset and scouting it out. It is different for every body of water but presenting a natrual lure during feeding time produces hits. Of course you want to know the forge base and the size of the shad before throwing something that replicate it. Remember bass generally hit for four reasons; they are angry, hungry, think they are hungry, or defensive hits. The two photos are from yesterday. Fished for roughly an hour with several hits two smaller bass and then this guy being the largest. About a 2lb / 2.5lb feel free to comment. The next time I go out I will be taking note of the wind, temp, water temp, and some other conditions so that I can post better entries.

Blogging about fishing

So I begin thinking about all the fishing I have done since being home from college and realized that it was an enormous amount. Beyond that I have had a great amount of success with simple and easy to use lures and tactics, so I felt I should share. I am going to try to blog every time that I go fishing and attempt to catalog the fish the best way I know how with tips on how I did what I did.
